Today there is a wide range of choices of online channels on which to watch concerts from locations all around the world. Examples include channels specialising in classical music like medici.tv, channels offering both classical and rock/pop concerts like Arte Concert, and channels with non-classical genres like Netflix Rock & Pop, and livelist.com. On these channels there are many videos one can access for free, as well as the possibility to buy access to online catalogues by paying a monthly fee.

medici.tv is an ever-expanding channel focusing on classical music performances. There are not only concerts being broadcasted, but also international competitions like The International Tchaikovsky Competition or The International Chopin Piano Competition.  For the first time, the International Cliburn Piano Competition, which takes place every four years, is being broadcasted live and on-demand on medici.tv – all with free access. The videos will contain not only the competitor’s performances, but also other features like interviews and behind-the-scenes material.
