Mark Grey
US composer Mark Grey will take the world premiere of his debut opera ‘Frankenstein’ to La Monnaie in Brussels in March. He’ll then head to Rome in April with his new symphonic piece, ‘Frankenstein Symphony’, in an exciting collaboration with The National Geographic.
Hailed by San Francisco Chronicle for his ‘striking’, and ‘ingenious’ compositions, Mark has had world premiers at famous concert halls including Carnegie Hall and The Walt Disney Hall. He’s been commissioned by The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Los Angeles Philharmonic to compose chamber symphonies and orchestral fanfares alike. In addition, Mark is also an Emmy award-winning sound designer. He became the first sound designer in history to design for The New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall, winning a Pulitzer Prize in Music for a piece commemorating 9/11.
We are working alongside Mark to create European coverage for the two Frankenstein concerts and further build Mark’s profile in Europe as a composer.
