Bamberg Symphony has been awarded “Audience of the Year” by Concerti
Bamberg Symphony has been awarded “Audience of the Year” by German classical magazine concerti. Beating nine other competitors of promoters, orchestras, festivals and opera houses, the orchestra and its audience were selected yesterday by a jury in Berlin.
Jakub Hrůša, Chief Conductor of Bamberg Symphony, commented:
“I am thrilled that our Bamberg audience was awarded the prestigious “Audience of the Year” award. I am delighted for our orchestra and for the best listeners of all time! One cannot exist without the other. We have known for a long time that we have the best audience, and this prize confirms that. We have always appreciated our audience and taken them very seriously, and so this prize is above all an incentive for us to continue to do our best to inspire, stimulate and simply make our audience happy!”
The winning audience can look forward to a surprise reception at an upcoming concert. The orchestra will also receive prize money of €5,000 for their educational work, donated by concerti partner GeloRevoice.
