Bernardi Music Group

Orchestra&Ensemble

The Bernardi Music Group is composed of a variety of professional musicians from the UK’s leading orchestras and ensembles. Founded in 1989 by the renowned Andrew Bernardi, the group inspires and connects people across the globe through music and education, whilst also supporting charitable causes. In doing so, the group has raised over £3.5million for charities, with Classic FM presenter John Suchet occasionally hosting their concerts in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society

Committed to a global reach, the group are favourites in Asia, having taken tours to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and with a forthcoming residency at the University of Macau. The Bernardi Music Group’s international scope has been able to bridge the east and the west, with cultural exchange being of the utmost importance to the group. Currently, they have an important partnership with China’s leading design firm, the Yuyuan art Investment Group.

The Bernardi Music Group continues to inspire the next generation of musicians through its year-round String Academy education programme, which sees young musicians being taught by the UK’s most highly regarded string players. They also go further by giving young musicians an opportunity to play alongside the Bernardi Music Group at the Shipley Arts Festival and elsewhere. The group has over thirty commissions deeply rooted within, and emanating from, the communities of Sussex. Previous commissions include ‘Great Hills’ and ‘Descending Blues’ by Cecilia McDowall, ‘To Notice Such Things’ by Jon Lord and ‘Goodwood Variations’ by Roderick Williams OBE.

The global reach and national success can be credited to Andrew Bernardi, who is renowned for his entrepreneurism and strategic strength in finding music-related investments. This is exemplified by his ability to raise £1.2 million for his Stradivarius violin during the global pandemic, a time of economic devastation. The group are now the custodian of the Amici Bernardi Stradivarius – a high-value violin which dates back to 17th century Cremona.

Our campaign for the group includes strategic PR, business development support and marketing consultation in a way that further builds their profile within the industry.
