Catherine Gordeladze

Pianist

Georgian-German pianist Catherine Gordeladze has established herself as one of the most remarkable musicians of the younger generation. Celebrated as a child prodigy, she gave her first orchestral performance at the age of seven. At the age of ten, she played a piano recital. Just one year later, in the presence of former Georgian President Edward Shevardnadze, she participated in a gala concert at the Tbilisi Opera House, which was broadcasted by television directly throughout the former Soviet Union.

As an outstanding soloist and sought-after chamber music partner, Catherine Gordeladze appears on the most important concert stages and with renowned orchestras, such as the Georgian State Orchestra, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Coburg State Theater, or the Mainz State Orchestra.

Gordeladze is a prizewinner of various competitions, e.g. the International Chopin Piano Competition in Darmstadt. She is also a recipient of the French Legion of Honor medal. In 2017, she received an award from the city of Frankfurt am Main as an “outstanding personality with a migration background” for her successful international concert activities and her voluntary commitment to the “Rhapsody in School” project, as part of which she regularly visits schools to encourage an interest in classical music among young people.

WildKat is pleased to be working with Catherine Gordeladze on Press & PR for her release “La Ricordanza” on the 26th of August, a CD recording of Franz Liszt works inspired by the singing of human voices.
