Daníel Bjarnason is a multi-award winning Icelandic composer and conductor. Having studied piano, composition and conducting in Reykjavík, Bjarnason went on to study orchestral conducting at the Freiburg University of Music. His versatility as a composer and performer has led to collaborations with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Britten Sinfonia, John Adams, André de Ridder and Sigur Rós. Daníel has previously written a large orchestral work for the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel in their 2013/14 season.
