Klara Min
PianistSouth Korean Klara Min is one of the most accomplished pianists of her generation, and has performed extensively both in solo recitals and with orchestras from around the world. In recent years, she has given concerts at the most prestigious concert halls such as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, London’s Wigmore Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, Gasteig in Munich and Laeiszhalle in Hamburg.
She is also the Founder and Artistic Director of NYCA (New York Concert Artists), a modern-day realisation of Robert Schumann’s Alliance of David (Davidsbund), which supports and promotes young artists internationally through concert series and collaborations with other organisations.
Her first album featuring modern Korean piano music was released on Naxos and complimented for making “every note count” (Allmusic). Her second release of Chopin Mazurkas was released on Delos. The American Record Guide selected the album as one of six critics’ choices in 2013, raving that “her dynamic control is out of this world”.
Klara Min enjoyed a very exiting 2015/16 season: in addition to the release of her new Scriabin album on the Steinway & Sons label, she gave concerts throughout Europe. Among her live engagements was included a date in Austria under the baton of Vladimir Fedoseyev as well as a record with the Warsaw Philharmonie Orchestra and renowned French violinist Augustin Dumay.
