Nimrod Borenstein

Nimrod Borenstein’s compositions are gaining a worldwide reputation with performances throughout Europe, the USA, Canada, South America, Australia, Israel and Japan. His wide-ranging catalogue numbers over 60 works including vocal, orchestral, chamber and solo music.

Vladimir Ashkenazy recently conducted two of Nimrod’s major symphonic works, The Big Bang and Creation of the Universe op. 52 and If you will it, it is no dream op. 58, with the Philharmonia Orchestra. Ongoing collaborations with prominent soloists include Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Pascal Amoyel and Roberto Prosseda who have all premiered his works.

The 2015/2016 season began with the world premiere of Suspended op. 69. It was performed at the Royal Opera House as part of the London International Mime Festival. The work was commissioned by Sean Gandini and is accompanied by a collaborative performance by Gandini Jugglers and Royal Ballet dancers.
