Tal Walker
Concert pianistTal Walker is an imaginative and passionate Israeli/Belgian concert pianist. He is an excellent interpreter of Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven and Schumann and specialised in the French repertoire (Debussy, Fauré, Ravel and many more).
Trained in the Netherlands and Belgium, he discovered his passion for French music at the ENM Cortot with Françoise Thinat. He then deepened his repertoire in masterclasses with pianists like Anne Queffélec and Jean-Philippe Collard who were taught by some of the greatest Parisian pianists such as: Arthur Rubinstein, Alfred Cortot or Marguerite Long.
Tal has performed as a soloist with orchestras like the “Torun Symphony Orchestra” (Poland) or the “Orchestra Filarmonica Giovanile d’Abruzzo” (Italy) on various stages across Europe, including the “Salle Cortot” in Paris and the “Royal Flemish Opera” (Antwerp). Additionally, Tal has performed in various chamber music ensembles, prestigious music festivals and international master classes such as “Tel-Hai International Piano Master Classes” (Israel), “Euro-Arts Music Festival” in Germany and “Musica Aeterna” (Belgium).
In 2017 Tal won a bronze medal at the 18th Osaka International Music Competition in Japan. He was selected artist in residency at the prestigious Villa Lena in Tuscany, Italy (2018) and the Banff Centre of Arts and Creativity in Alberta, Canada (2019).
He is currently a doctoral student at the Royal College of Music in London where he was awarded with the RCM Bursary for his D.Mus studies in piano performance in 2020. Eager to promote French music, the pianist founded “Monsieur Croche” in Belgium, a concert season in which he invites soloists and chamber musicians to play the same repertoire.
WildKat is pleased to be working with Tal on Press & PR in the UK and France for his upcoming album featuring miniatures of French music.
