Tim Murray

British conductor Tim Murray is forging his path as a leading conductor of operatic and contemporary repertoire. Tim recently premiered Gerald Barry’s virtuosic “The Importance of Being Earnest” at the Royal Opera House with the Britten Sinfonia to great critical acclaim, and made his Royal Ballet debut conducting Michael Berkeley’s arrangement of Bach’s “The Art of Fugue”. Having worked closely with Mark-Anthony Turnage on the opera “Anna Nicole”, Tim collaborated on Turnage’s CD “Undance”.

Tim conducted Matthew Herbert’s “The Crackle” at the Linbury Studio, Royal Opera House in April 2014, followed by “Porgy and Bess” which was performed at the London Coliseum and Opéra National de Bordeaux and at the Liceu, Barcelona.
