Fantastic Film Festival Results!

Tuesday 1st February 2011

A few days ago we let you know about this year’s Sundance Film Festival with both Max Richter and Dustin O’Halloran having films which they composed the music for being nominated for awards. Well we have some fantastic news to tell you all:

‘Like Crazy’, scored by Dustin O’Halloran, won the Grand Jury Prize in the U.S. Drama category. Drake Doremus’s romantic drama ‘Like Crazy’ follows Anna and Jacob – an Anglo/American couple who meet in college and fall in love. Their love is tested when Anna is required to leave the country and they must face the challenges of a long-distance relationship. As well as winning the prize, ‘Like Crazy’ was also picked up by Paramount Pictures – all very exciting stuff!

Peter D. Richardson’s documentary, ‘How To Die In Oregon’ is about how in 1994 Oregon became the first state to legalize physician-assisted suicide. ‘How to Die in Oregon’ gently enters the lives of terminally ill Oregonians to illuminate the power of death with dignity. This film, scored by Max Richter, won U.S. Documentary Competition Grand Jury Prize.
