Tune into BBC Radio 3 at 5.30 this afternoon to hear their discussion with cellist Guy Johnston performing and talking about the 18th Jacqueline du Pres Charity Concert, which is taking place tomorrow evening. The concert is in aid of the Musicians Benevolent Fund, who provide advice, support and even financial support for musicians. The former winner of BBC Young Musician of the Year and member of the Aronowitz Ensemble will be performing live on the show, along with soprano Katy Hill.
Guy has performed with many leading orchestras and is a patron of many arts charities. The concert, which is to take place at London’s Wigmore Hall, will feature Guy and pianist Tom Poster, playing music by twentieth century composers including Bridge, Britten and Debussy.
