Two albums released today!

Monday 4th November 2013

After the release of their first single Take Hold on October 16th, i’Anson’s debut album ‘In Chances of Light’ is released today. A collaboration between the award-winning Scottish Ensemble, Steve Jansen (percussion), Dudley Phillips (bass) and songwriter Hugh Carswell, the record is inspired by Hugh’s life on the remote and idyllic Scottish island of Jura. Last week, Hugh shared his story and his music on BBC Radio Scotland in an insightful interview, which you can listen to here.

‘In Chances of Light’ is available in physical copies and for download. For more information, see i’Anson’s website.

Also released today is Bryce Dessner‘s Aheym with the Kronos Quartet. Dessner has worked extensively as a composer of contemporary classical music, and this is his first release of his own compositions. The piece from which the album takes its title, Aheym, was informed by the stories of Dessner’s Jewish immigrant grandparents who settled near Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. The album has been streamed on the Independent website and you can buy it here.
