BACKComposer Jorge Grundman will shortly be releasing his first CD on the Chandos record label, and WildKat PR is delighted to be offering PR services in both the UK and USA for this release. This is Jorge’s second CD and features the Brodsky Quartet performing his work “The Resurrection of Christ”.
Jorge explains in the CD notes that the work “was conceived for a concert programme to succeed Haydn’s so-called Musica instrumentale sopra le 7 ultime parole del nostro Redentore in croce, ossiano 7 sonate con un’introduzione ed al fine un terremoto (Instrumental Music on the Seven Last Words of Our Saviour from the Cross, or Seven Sonatas with an Introduction and, to Conclude, an Earthquake) during Easter Week in 2013.”
“I have always wondered why, during Holy Week, so many works are programmed about the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ and not of his Resurrection, particularly when St Paul saw it as the basis for the foundation of the Christian faith.”
Also appearing alongside the Brodksy Quartet for this release is soprano Susana Cordón.
