BACKWildKat PR are pleased to welcome the Belcea Quartet to our client roster.
The Belcea Quartet have built a reputation as a leading international ensemble for the new generation, performing regularly in the UK and around the world. Their upcoming performance project of all Beethoven’s String Quartets will see the quartet return to Wigmore Hall (where they were resident Quartet for five years) as well as The Sage, Liverpool’s St George Hall, and the Wiener Konzerthaus, amongst other world renouned venues. In addition to the performances, the quartet will produce a series of live recordings planned for release in 2012 on Zigzag Territories.
Since forming in 1994, this young quartet already have 11 CDs already under their belt from works by Mozart to the complete Bartok quartets for which the quartet were awarded the title ‘Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year’ by Germany’s prestigious Echo Klassik Awards and nominated for a 2008 Gramophone Award.
As well as a busy concert schedule, chamber music coaching is at the heart of this quartet with current residencies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London and the Romanian Cultural Institute, Bucharest.
The Beethoven Series opens in Hamburg on October 2nd and comes to London’s Wigmore Hall on Monday October 3rd.
