WildKat PR welcomes Bryce Dessner

Thursday 10th October 2013

WildKat PR is delighted to welcome Bryce Dessner to our artist roster. Graduating from Yale University with a master’s degree in music, Bryce is best known as the guitarist from Brooklyn-based rock group The National and is also a highly established composer and curator. Bryce is the founder of Cincinnati’s acclaimed MusicNOW Festival and composer-in-residence at Muziekgebouw Frits Philips in Eindhoven, Netherlands. His notable accomplishments include producing the Red Hot AIDS charity compilation Dark Was the Night with his brother Aaron Dessner, and co-curating the Crossing Brooklyn Ferry music festival for the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Bryce has shared a stage with Steve Reich, Nico Muhly, Sufjan Stevens, Radiohead’s Johnny Greenwood and many other eminent musicians.

This season will be an exciting one for Bryce. November sees the Carnegie Hall premiere of “Murder Ballades” for eighth blackbird, a new work for So Percussion and the worldwide release of an album from Bryce entitled Aheym. The album will include Bryce’s compositions “Tenebre,” “Little Blue Something,” “Tour Eiffel,” and “Aheym” and is a collaboration with Grammy award-winning Kronos Quartet. It will be released by ANTI- records in the UK on November 4th 2013.

We look forward to working with Bryce as his stellar career continues to develop.
