WildKat PR welcomes Moonkyung Lee

Monday 24th October 2016

WildKat PR are delighted to introduce another new client: concert violinist Moonkyung Lee, who performs extensively across Europe, as well as the United States and South Korea, and she has collaborated with many eminent ensembles, conductors, and performers. Highlights include the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Maxim Shostakovich, and performing the Beethoven Triple Concerto with cellist Mischa Maisky and the Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra. Moonkyung Lee plays an 1845 Vuillaume violin, which was previously owned by Jack Benny.

Moonkyung Lee has won many awards and scholarships, such as the Luigi Zanuccoli International Competition and the Padova International Competition, and she holds an NYU/Steinhardt Doctoral Fellowship for Ph.D. Studies (of which she was the first ever classical string performer recipient). Her two recitals in Seoul in 2015 were sponsored by the Arts Council Korea, and she has often featured as a solo performer on Korea’s national television, KBS, in its Classical Odyssey, a programme devoted solely to classical music. She has also participated in many music festivals such as the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria and the Banff Center for the Arts in Banff, Canada.
