Here at WildKat, we will be recommending five items that we have found inspiring, educational or enjoyable recently. Every Monday, a member of WildKat will recommend an Album, a Livestream or Concert, and three other items that mean something to them. We will also be including links to everything in their descriptions below. Be sure to check back each week as we will be sharing a new list of recommendations!
This week, we have our Global Head of Digital and PR Manager, George Percy sharing his recommendations!
Outdoor Activity
Victoria Park Stroll
“I’m fortunate to have one of London’s biggest parks near my house. I’ve always really enjoyed this park to either cycle or stroll around, and it perfectly connects up with the canal to extend the walk. Pick up a coffee from Pavillion cafe by the lake, take a gander at the Chinese Pagoda then stroll on down the canal to watch the narrowboats in the lock, perfect.”

Voces8: Live From London Christmas
“After the fantastic summer variation of Live From London, I’m really excited to see the whole of the Christmas festival starting in December. In my opinion, they have nailed how to do a virtual festival and its great to know that the ticket monies go to help the artists and VOCES8 Foundation initiatives.”

Painting
“I’ve always had a fascination with painting but have lost the habit of doing it consistently. It can be a real rollercoaster of emotions from meditative joy, to perfectionist frustration, but this lockdown has allowed me to get back to it and fill up my time. I would say I’m an ‘abstract’ painter, but honestly, that just means I can’t paint things realistically. “

Make fresh pasta
“HOW EASY IS IT ACTUALLY TO DO THIS? Much to my surprise, it is easier than I first imagined. From linguine to ravioli, since the start of this year, this has been my best discovery. It makes so much of a difference to the meal than using the dried supermarket version. It took some time for each batch at first, but now I’ve got into the flow and can make it relatively quickly. No prizes for guessing what some of my Christmas gifts to people are this year.”

Help Musicians
“A lot of my friends are composers and musicians, and I can see first hand how this current situation has affected them. Help Musicians has been an invaluable source to both them and the whole music community, especially those who have fallen through the gaps in government assistance. They help at times of crisis, but also at times of opportunity, giving people the extra support they need at a crucial stage that could make or break their career.”
