WildKat has appointed its current Director of Europe, Olivia Brown, to lead the company’s global operations alongside Founding Director Kathleen Alder. Olivia, who is just 28, will begin her new role of Managing Director with immediate effect.
Olivia will progress with Kathleen Alder as Founding Director to oversee the whole company across its international offices in London, Paris, Berlin, New York, and LA, strategizing the company’s development and managing its daily operations.
Olivia is being promoted from her current role as Director of all European Operations, a role she was appointed to last year. Olivia has been working at WildKat since 2014, having begun as an intern for the company in 2012 whilst studying BA music at the University of Leeds. Olivia impressed Kathleen, who then took her on as a freelancer during her remaining time at university and then as an Account Manager. She was quickly promoted at the company to Head of Creative Strategy and Marketing, before being appointed Director of WildKat’s London office at the age of 26, where she led all of its UK operations.
Since joining WildKat, Olivia has secured new clients as well as supporting some of the leading organisations in classical and contemporary music including Music for Youth, London Music Masters, Academy of Ancient Music, France Music, Royal Over-Seas League and Spitalfields Music. Olivia has also spearheaded the company into establishing new services, such as playlisting, helping artists to gain further exposure, and has led on unique campaigns such as copywriting for Trinity Laban.
Elsewhere, having recently expanded the company’s digital department, WildKat has also promoted George Percy to Global Head of Digital and PR Manager. Previously Senior PR Manager, Percy will oversee all of the company’s current and future marketing campaigns, which include its work with Verbier Festival and Bamberg Symphony.
Speaking of promoting Olivia, Kathleen Alder said: “Olivia has proven herself to be essential to WildKat. She has steered the company through the international expansion and the COVID-19 crisis with clarity and definition. My decision to promote Olivia reflects how she is the driving force behind the flourishing of WildKat. I am thrilled to be able to offer her this position and I know that WildKat’s future will be bright with her by my side. We both share a forward-thinking vision and embrace change, and we intend to ensure WildKat continues to stay at the forefront of our industry’s global business innovation, whilst always delivering the best results for our clients.”
Speaking of her promotion, Olivia said: ‘I am so honoured to move into this new role to oversee the global company operations alongside Kat, who has created such an inspiring company and a fantastic team worldwide. This has been a hugely exciting time for WildKat, having expanded into two new territories last year, and I am looking forward to working with Kat as Managing Director to expand, transform and progress the company even further.’
