This Week’s WildKat Recommendation:

This week’s #WildKatRecommendation comes from Alex from our Berlin Office!

I’ve always had a soft spot for movies and series that have strong and haunting concepts and out-of-the-box storytelling. The best dystopian series in the past few years in my opinion has been the German Netflix series DARK. Just this last week the third and final season was released, and I binge-watched it in two nights. Final seasons can be disappointing at times, maybe they are disappointing most of the time. I think DARK made it work and somehow brought all those overlapping and complex story threads to a satisfying finale, all with clockwork precision. The way this show dealt with concepts of time travel and its consequences as well as concepts of alternate universes deeply fascinated me. For this being a German production I also think the characters work perfectly . Not least the amazing synthesizer-led score by Ben Frost made this a chilling experience.I highly recommend checking this show out and I’m considering re-watching all three seasons again, soon!
